Q. What led to your decision to purchase the product?
I first learned about FREEDOM UHD when a DENKEN-HIGHDENTAL sales representative informed me that a new high-resolution scanner was going to be released.
The scanner I had previously used had relatively low resolution, and adjusting the areas around the margins of abutment teeth required considerable time. I was therefore looking for a high-resolution scanner with an affordable purchase price and low running costs.
Because FREEDOM UHD offered advantages in both resolution and cost, I decided to purchase it.

Q. How has your experience been after using it?
After introducing the product, the time required to adjust restorations after milling was reduced to one-tenth of the previous level, significantly improving efficiency.
The scan data reproduces the abutment model with high accuracy. The model does not need to be secured to a mounting fixture, which also makes the workflow easier.
Q. Are there any areas where you would like to see further improvements?
If accuracy could be further improved in cases involving jumping margins, the product would come even closer to being my ideal scanner.
When scanning an unsawn model, it would also be convenient if the scanner could capture fine details in the same way as an intraoral scanner.
Q. What advice would you give to those considering purchasing this product?
No matter how advanced the milling machine is, a scanner with insufficient resolution will increase the time required to adjust the restoration to the abutment tooth and reduce overall efficiency.
I recommend selecting a scanner that minimizes discrepancies between the scan data and the physical model, thereby improving the efficiency of the entire workflow.
